Final Fantasy XIII, is the newest release in the Final Fantasy franchise. The game was released on Tuesday and I can’t wait to play it! The graphics are amazing, it is so detailed, you can see every strand of hair on the characters head. The main character is a girl, named Lightning, she seems like a strong and likable person. I also think the story sounds interesting, the people live in a place called Cocoon (a utopia in the sky) and they are protected by fal’Cie. Until one of them betrayed everyone and awoke fal’Cie from pulse (from the lower land) and their peace was destroyed. A few people were cursed with magic powers that they were forced to use. Join the heroes in their fight for freedom, and watch the trailer.

     Check out this cool and cute game, Muramasa, for the Wii that will be released on Sept. 8. The story is about The Demon Blades being cursed that brings destruction by summoning creatures, dragon and demon gods. The player is able to choose between two characters to play with; The ninja Kisuke who is a fugitive and lost his memory or The kunoichi Momohime who is a princess and is possessed by an evil spirit.

Director Yasuomi Umetsu wrote in his blog that he is currently working on an animated feature based on Electronic Arts’ 2010 American videogame. There is a promotional video available, so if you want to check it out, go here. The video itself seemed pretty interesting! The plot of the game is also interesting, it is loosely adapted from Dante’s classic Divine Comedy poem, its about a character called Dante that searches through the 9 circles of hell to find a woman called Beatrice. Reading this made me want to read the poem, but when I looked it up in the net I couldn’t really understand most of the words. <~ Not Very Smart!

The release date for Dissidia: Final Fantasy is Summer 2009.  Dissidia is the 4th best selling PSP game in Japan selling 905,109 copies so far. I think what made me the most excited about this video is seeing Cloud Strife and Sephiroth, two of my favorite characters out of all the video games, I’ve played. A few other FF characters will be making an appearance, and the game contains twenty-two total playable characters. I am curious to see what this game will be like and i will definitely check it out.

     Magna Carta II will be released in Japan on August 6, U.S. release has not been announced yet. The story is about a boy with no memory of his past that is caught in the middle of a war between kingdoms Juto and Lanzheim with him being a possible key to ending the war.
