The Gothic Lolita style began in the 1970s. Gothic and Lolita are used by the Japanese to portray a sub-culture of masses who wear the vogue of Lolita. Multiple brands such as Angelic Pretty, Sweet Rococo, Milky Ange and Moi-Meme-Moitie are all Gothic Lolita inspired. Fashion Designer and Musician Mana of Moi Dix Mois helped to make Gothic Lolita known using “Elegant Gothic Lolita” to describe his fashion label Moi-Meme-Moitie.
Singer Kana modeled for Lolita fashion and Illustrator Mitsukazu Mihara drew the eight first covers of the Gothic and Lolita Bible. Gothic Lolita consists of a mixture of black and white skirts (knee length),black and white lace, ribbons, petticoat, over knee socks, tights or stockings, boots, Mary Jane shoes, Victorian blouses and high necked blouses, parasols, bows, handbags at times shaped as bats, coffins and crucifixes, stuffed animals such as a teddy bear or super dollfie, head bands and lace blouses.

If you love Lolita so much you should check the international Lolita forum at lolitafashion.org… At their site you’ll find all sorts of info and tips and on the forum you can just chat randomly about lolita fashion, share recepes, find list of cheap and trustworthy sellers of the clothes (not just the superexpensive straight-from-japan brand stuff) and ask for help on how to make your own clothes and assecoiries. I’m a member too, so i know
